The theme for this session is Winter Walk. It’s a gloomy, grey time of year in Berlin, therefore we will aim at finding positivity and inspiration amongst the outdoor winter landscape!

We’ll be rugging up warmly and spending the first part of the session sketching some ideas around Treptower Park. We will sketch visitors, focusing on quirky, cheerful characterisation. The secondary focus will be on using the space of the page/sketchbook in a deliberate manner to create a feeling of the winter landscape, with its bare branches and stark outlines.

After this, we’ll move to the atelier and create 1-2 final sketches composed of smaller studies from the park.
