Gouache is a medium loved for its bold colour, matte finish, and capacity for overlaying. “Gouache Lab!” is a workshop dedicated to exploring the rich, velvety potential of the medium. Illustrator and creative educator Susannah Garden will guide you through essential techniques such as blending, glazing and dry brushing.

In this three-hour workshop, you’ll complete a series of small studies that experiment with colour interaction and texture, followed by one larger final piece.

Participants will leave with a set of polished A5 studies on heavy paper, plus their finished gouache artwork.
